Ceramic & Porcelain Tile

Our 6-Step Tile Installation Process
1. Site Assessment & Design Consultation
We inspect the existing substrate (concrete, plywood, drywall), confirm measurements, and discuss tile layout, grout color, and pattern—creating a precise installation plan.
2. Substrate Preparation & Leveling
Repair cracks, apply moisture barriers, and use Ardex™ or equivalent self-leveling underlayment to create a perfectly flat surface—critical for large-format and natural stone tiles.
3. Underlayment & Waterproofing
Install Schluter® Ditra uncoupling membrane on floors, Kerdi on wet areas, or use liquid waterproofing where needed—ensuring crack isolation and leak protection.
4. Tile Layout & Dry-Fit
Snap chalk lines, dry-fit tiles to minimize cuts, and adjust for symmetry. Plan borders and transitions before any adhesive is applied.
5. Setting Tile & Grouting
Spread high-bond thin-set mortar with correct notch size, place tiles with leveling spacers, then grout with epoxy or cement grout. Seal grout and stone to resist stains.
6. Final Inspection & Cleanup
Remove spacers, clean haze, caulk perimeter joints, and polish surfaces. We perform a detailed walkthrough to ensure every tile is perfect and provide care instructions.
Pricing, Timeline & Warranty
Tile projects typically range from $15 to $35 CAD per sq. ft. installed, depending on tile type and complexity. A standard 100 sq ft area installs in 3–5 days.
